Does anyone need to download an app?

No. Whoever has the book scans the QR code with their phone camera and PicClip opens in the browser: Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android. Nothing to install, no account, no sign-up.

Does it work with a photo book I already have?

Yes. Upload the same photos that are printed in your book, then slip the print-ready QR card into it or stick it inside the cover. Loose photo prints work the same way.

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. In the studio you upload photos, attach videos and test the result in the real viewer, without an account. You only sign in, with a link sent to your email, when you want to save or buy, and you pay at the very end.

Which photos work best?

Photos with clear detail and contrast are recognised fastest; very plain, dark or blurry photos are harder. The studio rates each photo as you upload it, so you know before you pay.

Which videos can I use, and how long can they be?

Any video from your phone or camera. Each plan comes with a total amount of video: about 30 minutes for 5 photos, 90 minutes for 15 and 180 minutes for 30. Spend it on one long clip or many short ones. Videos are stored in 720p.

Do the photos and videos need to match?

No. You choose which video each photo plays. The photo of your dog at the beach could play a clip from that same day, or a collection of its best moments.

Can I change a video later?

Yes. Swap a video in the studio whenever you like. The QR code in the book stays the same and plays the new one.

How long do the videos stay online?

Five years from the day you buy are included in the price, and you can renew after that. If PicClip ever shuts down, you get at least 12 months' notice and can download everything you uploaded.

Where are my photos and videos stored, and who can see them?

On EU servers in Germany, under the GDPR. Your album isn't public or searchable; it opens through the link in its QR code. You can export or delete your content at any time.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per photo book: €9.90, €19.90 or €34.90, depending on the number of photos. Payment is handled by Paddle, our reseller, which also takes care of VAT.
